Meet The Reading Pen. Your personal pocket reading assistant that turns ink into clear audio. No internet required. 100 percent private.
Only 20 DollarsIncludes pen, special earbuds, and our free tracking app.
Just slide the pen over a sentence in a book or on a piece of mail. It speaks the words to you right away.
Our smart chip processes your private papers right on the device. Your secrets never go to the cloud.
The pen only tells you what the text says. It cannot solve problems or give answers, making it perfect and fair for the classroom.
Every Reading Pen comes with its own special pair of earbuds included in the 20 dollar price. We made sure connecting them is super easy so you can read in private without anyone else hearing your business.
Press and hold the button on top of the pen until the green light flashes.
Take the included earbuds and plug the cord directly into the bottom hole of the pen.
Put the earbuds in your ears and slide the tip of the pen over any paper. You will hear the words perfectly!
We know that students and busy workers are always on the move. That is why we built a completely free companion app for your phone.
If you ever misplace your Reading Pen, simply open the free app. It will track the exact location where your pen was last used and help you find it in seconds. The app also lets you change the reading speed and choose different voices.
"This pen changed my life in history class. It reads the hardest words to me instantly. I no longer feel stressed when the teacher hands out a long article."
"I have dyslexia and reading paper used to give me a massive headache. Now I just plug in my earbuds and listen. Best 20 dollars my parents ever spent."
"The free tracking app is a total lifesaver. I lose my things all the time in my messy backpack, but the app helps me find my pen right away."
Hello! We are Abel Yitna, Finnlay Macdonald, and Cariem Flewellen. We are the creators and founders of The Reading Pen.
We started this project because we saw a huge problem in our own community. So many smart people struggle to read printed paper due to vision issues or learning differences like dyslexia. We realized that technology should help break down these walls, not make them higher.
We spent months researching text to speech software and studying how the brain learns. Our goal was simple: build a smart, safe tool that does not steal your private data, and make it cheap enough so anyone can buy it. That is why we set the price at just 20 dollars. We believe everyone deserves the power to read.
